SharePoint in Education

Posted by workerthread on November 16, 2007

I was talking to one of the delegates at today’s Access User Group Seminar about using SharePoint in Education, and unfortunately couldn’t remember the name of the organisation offering an online SharePoint based solution targeted specifically at schools.  I’ve now looked this up, and they are called Shireland Learning.  They also feature on the Microsoft Schools Success Stories page.

Anyone interested in the use of SharePoint in Education should also take a look at the Education Special Interest Group on the UK SharePoint User Group site.  There’s a lot happening in this area.  The other day I saw Staffordshire Learning Net – a portal from Staffordshire County Council which looks like it’s a SharePoint project.
