Microsoft and Design

Posted by workerthread on December 20, 2006

Following the launch of the Expression suite of products, Microsoft have now have a new Design web site.  It will be quite interesting to see how this evolves in 2007.  I see that there is also a design-themed conference in the UK in February with “creative” and “tech” tracks.

Some of the areas of the Expression web site are still a little flaky – for example there are two Expression Web starter kits shown, but both have dead links at the moment.

Update 2 Jan 2007 – The starter kits can now be downloaded from http://www.microsoft.com/products/expression/en/events-training/starter-kits.mspx.  Both are ASP.Net applications, one using XML data and the other with a SQL Express database.
